Terms & Conditions
1. Emergency Key-on-Command
Emergency Key-on-Command is provided by US Key Guard, Inc. In Texas, services are provided by collaborative, owned and operated US Key Guard facilities, most often nearest the location of the demand for US Key Guard Services. The following Emergency Key-on-Command services are available:
Provision of access by back-up key(s): US Key Guard will provide and deliver a secondary or, Back Up key to access Home, Office/ Business, Vehicle(s) and additional home security and lockboxes, as defined in the agreement between subscriber and US Key Guard.
In the event that a secondary or back up key is provided to US Key Guard in trust, such keys are held physically at the nearest US Key Guard facility to the related address of such key’s related lock to access such property. Keys that are provided in trust are identified, located and transported by an authorized US Key Guard representative and in some cases delivered by back-up third party transportation providers, such as courier or Uber or other providers.
In the event that the secondary or back up key was not provided by the customer and US Key Guard created a virtual copy for cutting, then first a secondary or back up key must be cut before delivery. In such cases an additional time may be necessary to locate the subscriber secondary or backup key before delivery can be made.
In the event that a secondary or backup key, provided to US Key Guard in whole or in cut-code, is nonfunctional due to changes to the subscriber’s locking mechanism(s) is made but not updated with US Key Guard, an additional access fee of $75.00 will be charged for entry or access provided to designated areas not covered by agreement with subscriber. Any additional expenses incurred beyond the provision of a secondary or back up key(s) as known and held in the care of US Key Guard, or by entry provided to subscriber(s) for modified locking mechanisms will be charged to the subscriber upon access, provided by US Key guard.
Beyond 5 miles:Any access provided for subscribers beyond 5 miles from designated US Key Guard location, may experience longer wait times due to traffic and additional obfuscation of delivery of secondary and backup keys or access services such as in lockout in automobiles or places of offices and or places of work for each subscriber, whose location is beyond 5 miles from the US Key Guard facility nearest the Subscriber’s primary location.
Non-Emergency availability of secondary key or back up key for entry into subscriber property: If a subscriber would like access to a secondary or back-up key provided to US Key Guard by subscriber, or to gain access to an additional copy of a secondary key held in trust, ether physically or by cut code, availability is provided by the nearest serving US Key Guard facilities. Additional copies will be made at $7.95 per key; and delivered to the subscriber over the counter (at location) or delivered to the Subscriber by US Key Guard delivery representatives.
Additional Grant of Access by Subscriber Permission: Upon subscription to US Key Guard Key-on-Command program(s), additional access of named permissions for subscribers may be added to each subscription for permissions allowing additional people to have secondary or back up keys to Access the covered lock or mechanism, granted. Further, at any time during a subscriber’s paid subscription period, changes to additional granted access permissions may be made at any time, however, any material changes to the subscription may only be made by the primary subscriber only.
Primary Subscriber: The person given as primary subscriber will be responsible for changes made to subscription and will be the primary person notified in any event requesting secondary access permission and in the case of a dual primary subscription to US Key Guard, both or all parties will need to permit changes to the subscription with permissions granted by all parties on the subscription form for such changes to take effect. All parties listed as primary subscriber(s) will be notified and during any event requesting secondary access.
Access Granted Subscriber. Also known as “Secondary Subscriber”. Access will be granted to any Secondary or Access Granted Subscriber, as provided upon membership enrollment or as added during membership updates during a valid subscription term. Access Granted Subscribers will be granted access upon request to US Key Guard, however notifications will be made to Primary subscriber(s) upon any access request.
Access Request of Non-Subscribers. Access to Non-Subscribers on a US Key Guard Key-on-Command membership program may be given upon request from a Primary Subscriber only. Upon request, US Key Guard will require proof of identification and verification of the Primary Subscriber, before access to the covered lock or mechanism is provided. Further, upon such request by a Primary Subscriber, a special access permission may be requested from and by US Key Guard. In such case of Special Access Permissions request, access to the lock or mechanism will not be provided until such receipt of verification of identity and Special Access Permissions from Primary Subscriber by US Key Guard.
Automobile Delivery: A secondary or back up key will be provided and delivered to a Key-on-Command subscriber upon request, or a lockout request shall be offered. However, deliveries to automobiles outside of the 10-mile radius from primary subscriber address of record to the locale of demand for Key-on-Command, may take up to 2 or more hours for delivery of secondary or back-up keys, if within 50 miles from nearest US Key Guard location. Locations more than 50 miles may be provided by third party services designated to deliver such secondary or back up keys in cases where the delivery spot is more than 50 miles from primary subscriber prime location or address.
In such cases where third party delivery services are deployed to deliver a secondary or back up key, US Key Guard is not responsible for any delays or interruptions to the delivery of such keys to the subscriber(s). Further, if a third-party lockout or locksmith specialist is deployed to service the Subscriber, US Key Guard nor any of its affiliates, employees, contractors or associates are responsible for damages caused to such property related to the lock or mechanism, nor the surrounding property attached to such lock or mechanism.
Automobile Lockout: Service is provided to gain access if the ignition key is lost or accidentally locked inside the vehicle or immediate access is necessary.
Reimbursement Up to $75: If US Key Guard is unable to locate a service facility or provide services in the area upon request, the customer may locate a service provider and be reimbursed up to $75 to gain access by use of third-party provider. However, a direct contact with a US Key Guard authorized contact form or personnel must be made and notification given by US Key Guard that such service request is undeliverable by US Key Guard. In such case where notification is delivered by US Key Guard of inability to service a request, in writing or verified communications, such as sms (text) or email, then shall US Key Guard honor such payment to subscribers for use of third-party locksmith(s) or lock out specialists, up to and no more than $75.00. further, any damages and expenses to gain access to such property are not the responsibility nor liability of US Key Guard, Inc. To receive reimbursement, the customer must contact Verizon Wireless Roadside Assistance first and the customer must submit the original receipt along with his/her name and address to: US Key Guard Key-on-Command Program, P.O. Box 5039, Carol Stream, IL 60197-5039. Claims must be postmarked within 60 days after the date of the disablement. (No time limit applies for Utah and Wisconsin residents.)
2. Eligibility
Designated residents of a covered US Key Guard area, usually within 10 miles (radius) of a US Key Guard location who are rightful dwellers or responsible parties to property(ies) requiring locks and keys for access or operation of access. Coverage is effective two (2) calendar days after enrollment date.
Message & Data rates may apply for download and use of any communications between subscriber and US Key Guard. Any rates from messaging and communications of Subscriber(s) by third party are the responsibility of subscriber(s).
3. Limitations
There is a limit of four (4) service calls and/or reimbursement per enrolled lock or mechanism providing access. Upon recognition of service use at limit, recommendations may be made by US Key Guard to Subscriber(s) for installation of different locks and mechanisms more suited to each subscriber(s). In the event of service cancellation due to overuse, any and all agreements between US Key Guard and Subscriber(s) are null and void
4. Key-on-Command Purpose and Coverage Exclusions:
The purpose of the Key-on-Command benefit is to provide service in common emergency situations related to access to home and property of Subscribers of US Key Guard, Inc. Key-on-Command Membership programs.
Key-on-Command Coverage Does NOT Include:
Re-keys of existing lock(s)
New installations of lock(s)
Access to Safe or other secured lock box openings (not covered in Subscription)
Copying keys or cutting new keys except as necessary within the standard agreement and purpose of US Key Guard membership subscription(s) or membership(s).
The provision of or making recommendations or assessments of additional lock and security needs on a consultation basis. Additional fees may apply for such services unless provided for in other of US Key Guard membership subscription(s) or membership(s).
Provide access to any third party not permitted under the subscription agreement as a 4thamendment protection. Such permissions granted to US Key Guard are of permissions granted by the lawful subscriber over such property and trusts shall not be broken by US Key Guard nor its employees, contractors, constituents, etc. The Fourth amendment states: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Ergo, No access to any third party shall be permitted or provided by US Key Guard, in keeping with the rule of law as defined in the Constitution of the United States.
Service if the subscription has closed, lapsed or non-existent or a subscriber is not designated per property.
Transportation for the member to the vehicle for service or from the vehicle to another destination after service has been rendered.
Charging a weak or dead battery.
The cost of making a replacement key and lock repairs are not covered.
Any other related emergency service such as defined in commonly offered in roadside assistance agreements.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
US Key Guard will not accept responsibility for repairs or the availability, delivery or installation of parts. All parts used and services provided by the service facility must be authorized and paid for by the customer.
All authorized service providers. independent contractors and agents or employees of US Key Guard, and the company and service providers assumes no liability for any damage to the property resulting from the rendering of service or for personal items left in the property. Any claims for personal injury or damage to property must be filed against the servicing facility.
Benefits and dues are subject to change upon membership renewal. Services are available in the United States.
If a service request is outside of the scope on the contracted services, Pay Per Use rates will be listed and or stated at the point of contact and may be charged on the spot, at the location of Assistance rendered.
You may cancel at any time and receive a prorated refund of any unused membership dues without deduction. Membership services used during subscription will be deducted at the published rate of services provided on Us Key Guard Sites, apps and Literature. US Key Guard may elect to not renew your membership for any reason by providing written notice of non-renewal of membership from 60 days prior to your renewal date and up until the renewal date. US Key Guard may terminate your membership for fraudulent use of the services immediately, upon written notice and delivered via mails, sms (texting), emails or other notification means with time stamp of third-party messaging and communications delivery services.
This is a Key-on-Command contract between subscribers of Key-on-Command services by US Key Guard, Inc. This is not a property, home, commercial building, nor automobile liability insurance contract or physical damage insurance and does not comply with any financial responsibility law.
